Family safety meets cyberspace

About

The Internet Safety Podcast is a non-profit weekly program to educate parents, teachers, and teens about the benefits and risks of technology. The program helps make technical issues and solutions accessible in an educational, entertaining, and useful way.

Your hosts:

Dr. Charles D. Knutson is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah. Prof. Knutson holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Oregon State University.

Joe Brockbank holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University.

Chuck and Joe have been hanging out in the technology space for 20 years or so, and have been friends since the mid-eighties.

Our motivation: Maximize the benefits of an amazing array of modern technologies while minimizing their negative moral impact. We don’t believe in throwing the baby out with the bath water, but we also don’t believe in leaving our children and our family members unprotected in the face of a complex and potentially dangerous new social reality.

We hope you enjoy the podcast. Please leave us feedback at questions@internetsafetypodcast.com or on the form that’s provided on the front page.
